1. What is the Fields Management feature in cmercury?
The Fields Management feature allows users to manage audience data fields, which are used for segmentation and personalization in email campaigns. Fields are categorized into:
- Default Fields – Predefined fields like Email Address, Country, and Phone Number.
- Custom Fields – User-created fields for storing additional subscriber information.
2. How can I view existing fields?
You can view all fields in the Fields tab, where details such as Field ID, Name, Type, and Status (Enabled/Disabled) are displayed.
3. Can I edit or delete default fields?
No, default fields cannot be edited or deleted. However, you can edit or remove custom fields as needed.
4. How do I search for a specific field?
Use the search bar in the Fields tab to quickly locate a specific field by its name.
5. How can I create a new custom field?
To add a new custom field:
- Click “Create New Field.”
- Enter the field name (e.g., Favorite Color, Interests).
- Select the data type (e.g., Text, Number, Date, Dropdown).
- Click Save to finalize.
6. What happens when I disable a field?
When a field is disabled, it becomes inactive and will not be available for segmentation or personalization in campaigns. However, it remains in the system and can be re-enabled later.
7. How do I delete a custom field?
To delete a custom field:
- Locate the field in the Fields tab.
- Click Delete next to the field.
- Confirm the deletion (Note: This action is permanent).
8. Can I enable a previously disabled field?
Yes, you can toggle the Enable/Disable option to reactivate a previously disabled field.
