1. What is the purpose of the List Management module?
The List Management module allows users to create, organize, and manage subscriber lists for email campaigns. It also provides options for filtering, searching, and handling blacklists and global unsubscribes.
2. How can I access and manage my lists?
- The List tab is displayed by default when accessing the Audience module.
- You can filter lists by type (Mailing or Suppression) and status (Active or Inactive).
- Use the search bar to find a list by name.
- The Settings menu provides options to manage blacklists and global unsubscribes.
3. What details are displayed for each list?
Each list includes:
- List ID – A unique identifier for the list.
- List Name – The name of the mailing or suppression list.
- Status – Indicates whether the list is Active or Inactive.
- Subscribers – The total number of subscribers in the list.
- Creation Date – When the list was created.
- Actions – Options to edit, download, or upload subscribers.
4. How do I create a new list?
- Click “Create New List”.
- Select the List Type (Mailing or Suppression).
- Enter the required details:
- List Name
- Sender Name
- Local Part (first part of the sender’s email address)
- Domain (select from the dropdown)
- Description (optional)
- List Name
- Click Create List to finalize.
- Add subscribers using the upload icon under the Actions menu.
5. How can I add subscribers to a list?
Subscribers can be added in two ways:
- Bulk Upload (TXT or CSV format).
- Manual Entry (adding individual contacts with demographic details).
6. What options are available during bulk upload?
During bulk upload, you can choose:
- Update existing entries only (avoids duplicates).
- Delete blank attributes (removes empty fields).
- Add existing attribute values (for multi-select attributes).
- Move trashed/unsubscribed/bounced entries back to active list.
- Add to global unsubscribe list (to prevent future emails).
7. Why do I need to certify my upload?
To comply with email marketing best practices, users must confirm that:
✅ All subscribers have explicitly opted in.
✅ No contacts were acquired from third-party lists.
Important: The Upload button will only be enabled after you check this certification box.
8. What is the purpose of blacklists and global unsubscribes?
- Blacklist – Blocks specific email addresses or domains from receiving emails.
Global Unsubscribe List – Prevents unsubscribed users from receiving any future emails.
